Bro has just saved me hours of manually keyframing every single frame, and it looks way smoother this way. Definitely liking the vid and looking for more!

I love DaVinci resolve while simultaneously dislike in the fact that it takes so many steps to get to one thing

Back in the day with Photoshop CS4 Extended, you could do this in the Animation timeline. Let's say you had a hat fly by a lit billboard at night. (In my short noir Bum Rap) You set the beginning and end, including an arc, or many to simulate wind, then copied that layer with all those factors but adjusted the look of it in the blend mode (you're really seat of your pants here adding an outer or inner glow, inner and outer shadow, and make three of these layers all different. Then as the hat floats in front of the lights in the image you fade them in and out in each layer to give the illusion of reacting to each light. Yes, if my hat was a 3D model, I could have placed 3D lights at the position of each billboard lights to achieve a better effect. With no instructions back then, I didn't have the chops (or 3D hat) to do it. But by the end of the work of the film, I figured it out and animated a famous New York night photo of 52nd St with all it's jazz club signs blinking on and off and drove a 3D car down the block interacting with about ten 3D invisible lights and disappearing down the end of the block. Still with no 3D instructions and nothing on youtube then to really help, it just about killed me. If you'd like to see this little thing, made in 2011, touched up a few years ago with better titles, it's called Bum Rap Andre Hunt here on Y.T.

Can you also explain how to make the text appear partially to wholly as there frame moves from a closer shot to a wider shot?

This used to work, but after a recent update, adding a Text node also adds a Merge node. The text doesn't follow the tracker anymore, and removing/altering any part of it makes the text not show up.
