Esmeralda calling Frollo a liar after he claims Quasimodo led him to their hideout always gets a huge “THANK YOU” from me. In a lesser Disney film she’d be turning to Quasi with a betrayed “What does he mean?” look on her face. All that tropey crap is bypassed. Esmeralda’s faith in Quasimodo and distrust of Frollo is just that strong.

If you listen to the people saying "Release her!" "Let her go!" "She's done nothing wrong!" "She is innocent!", it's a total contrast to the original novel, where the people quickly condemn her for being a "witch" as quickly as they rejoiced in her dancing during the Festival.

I love how Esmeralda refuses to believe Frollo that Quasimodo lead him and his army to the court of miracles. This shows that even though Esmeralda hardly knew Quasimodo she knew Quasimodo wouldn’t have done such a thing.

I’m just admiring all of these voice actors. They all do amazing jobs as their rolls, and they make all of these characters believable, and even the side characters like Clopin and the other Gypsies. But who I really want to give credit for is to Tony Jay! He makes Frollo much more realistic than he could’ve done. RIP Tony Jay
