If they just said, "this is probably natural, but this is super interesting, lets send a team to investigate whether it is natural or manmade." I would totally respect that. But this "move along nothing to see here" approach speaks volumes.

It's funny how the people asking for investigation are considered the conspiracy theorists.

The fact that people can even stomach or have the audacity to say or suggest that this is some kind of natural formation are freaking idiots!

There are further structures near by, but beyond scuba gear. I dived the area a number of years ago using mixed gas and saw the lower structures that are of a similar size and some are even bigger.

If it is indeed as it appears to be a 12000+ year old quarry, then we really need to be looking for other sites in the larger surrounding area (at the same depth or higher) where that same cut stone type has been moved to, places where that stone is not naturally occurring, but where it may have been brought in for use to build other ancient structures from that time period. Finding even one such site would be very hard to dismiss as evidence of an older civilization that predates the modern written record.

The yonaguni monument is as natural as a truthful politician.

We all know that ocean levels are much higher than they used to be. There HAVE to be underwater remnants of people who used to live in the lower shoreline places.

I always thought it was absolutely nonsensical to call this structure a building like a pyramid or ziggurat. Never occurred to me to think of it as a quarry. Makes a lot of sense. Maybe it was a hill that was dug out, as opposed to an in-ground quarry.

The Yonaguni structure is the first thing that made me realise that modern archeologists are full of shiz

There's 0% chance this is naturally occurring.

Amazing. Those blocks are irrefutable. Yes it looks like a quarry.

how many times has civilization reached advanced stages only to be wiped away like Sand Castles on the beach after the tides come and go?

historians: "must have been the waves!"

If it is natural and the shapes are so sharp, you would expect that there are a lot of loose stones on the seabed around it.

"Hey yall can we study this cool thing?"
"No and quit asking!"
"Uhh sus much"
"No! Only conspiracy theorists would want to research it!"

The quarry theory certainly seems plausible. Definitely not naturally occurring.

The idea that it's a quarry site is starting to grow on me.

I'm sick of people telling me what should and should not exist. If observing the world around me has left me one lesson it is that we pathetic humans love putting limitations and expectations on reality which inevitably end up changing.

A quarry is the best shout I have ever heard, I can’t see anything else that makes so much sense 👏
