I just wanted to thank you.
A little background, without getting it deep into it.
My ocd is bad when it come to filling up my vehicles.
So you can imagine how I was topping my tank off. The engine hesitation and the wanting to stall was getting worse. After watching your video I have fought my OCD and stopped topping off. It’s been 3 months with no incidents. Dealerships where useless and expensive.
So again, thank you for this video and sharing your knowledge.

You need to verify that the purge control valve is fully closed when there is no power. Just hook your vaccuum pump to the same spot and see if it holds a vacuum. If that is good it is likely your fuel cut valve sticking. Canisters csn run 2-500 dollars so it might be worth the hassle. Some times there is an access panel and you dont have to drop the tank. You are a smart Gal I know you'll figure it out. Forums are a good place to go. Just my 2 cents I am a Kia Master Tech so I see a lot of evap problems.

Anyone with OCD should NOT look under the hood of these 3.2L...lol. I have been working on anything and everything for almost 20 years and looking under the hood of my Cherokee, first thing that popped into my mind was, what are they trying to replicate a PT cruiser, jamming everything under there like that....lol

Looks like the 2.4 liter not the 3.2liter
