Thumbs up! i have this problem happen to my cherokee kl 3.2l shortly after i took it to a dealership, they left the gas cap open on pickup to diagnose a punctured filler neck hose, not sure if the customer service agent poured some soda or something into my gas tank over some argument i had with him at the dealership when it was time to pickup my vehicle and the $260 diagnostics fee they charged me and even referring me to purchase the wrong part to fix it if i didnt fix it with them for another excessive $600 fee... Anyways driving back home going up a hill engine started to act crazy bouncing knocking etc and got the engine light with the po202 and p0302 codes, after fixing the hose the evap leak dissappeared, i added some supertech motor treatment to treat the entire fuel system of the car, drove it a little bit to smoothen the engine out a bit but still very rough, mechanic responsible for puncturing my filler hose reset my codes and they never came back on, its been weeks now and the engine although not as bad as it was is still running rough. Question is should i check the fuel pump 1st or go straight to the injector? does this sounds like a situation that the customer service guy poured some damn soda or something into my gas tank to mess it up? or is this more likely because of dirt or rubber got in the tank from the punctured hose? Or is it none of that and just the fuel injector that needs to be replaced as in ur vid? What would ur recommendation be? how to tell if the fuel is contaminated? Good idea to open up the fuel pump and check the filter or something along with the gas inside the tank 1st prior to checking my fuel injector? thanks & subbed!

Great video. It would be nice if you specified which engine you're referring to.

Thank you for the video. I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee that has rough and high idles, and weird acceleration bursts. I'm going to have my local mechanic check it out.

Hey Gerard - When using the multimeter tool, what part of the fuel injector do I connect it to?

Hey Gerard,
Could you have used an oscilloscope to measure current on the wiring loom further back?
Great job as usual! 😉

How do you know which one is the injector that you have to replace?

Hey I just got P0201 code, I believe this is for the 1st cylinder/injector. As I understand it should be located behind the engine towards the car dashboard right?

I am throwing a P0205 & a P0206
My car runs great then just dies...
Take about 10 min for it to fore back up.
May go a week before it dies again.
