It's weird that the 9000 chips are performing well in the workloads they were designed for... they were never made for gaming, but rather for server/AI workloads. Marketing was the downfall....

Not that I want to excuse bad marketing, but I wasn't really upset or disappointed about the launch simply because I NEVER pay the slightest bit of attention to manufacturer claims ahead of time. Frankly I'm kindof stunned by how badly most reviewers are treating these. They aren't BAD, they're just not a huge gaming improvement. But the power draw and workstation gains are REALLY impressive, if that was something I used them for. This is absolutely NOT something that should be distracting/covering for intel having TWO GENERATIONS of actually DEFECTIVE, not merely "unimpressive" CPUs, and refusing to take responsibility for it.

Here's to hoping the presumably forthcoming X3D parts are winners, it's time for me to get off this 5600x.

Yeah, waiting for the 9000X3D CPUs ... if they are lower heat producers/wattage use then their 7000 series, with comparable performance ... I'll get one.
