Take a look at Vinicius Jr. His finishing was laughable when he first arrived at Madrid. But they knew his potential and kept him around. When Ancelotti came, under his guidance Vini finished his 21/22 season with 42 G/A. Just like shown in the video, training players according to their age and weakness can really change the player completely.

Tom, Evidence based football manager debunked the myth "Players grow faster from high rating matches" They just need match time in the highest star league possible over 45 mins per match ideally starting.. It seems the code gives much more benefit to starting 45 rather than subbing after 45. Winning or losing/ playing bad doesn't affect growth.

Something i have always done is any really good young players is going into training and than Units and add them to be trained with the first team. You can also start mentoring them as early as you like than.
Ive never actually worked out if it makes a difference or not tho

I always love signing a free signing the board think will never work but then is our top player! 🤣

About the "Discuss new trait" point... it would be great if you, whether unsure or too new to the game to understand, could ask your coaching team what Preferred Moves could fit the player and why.

Right now, unless they suggest it in the Staff Meeting or you suggest the "wrong" kind of training, you cannot do so.

Ive got a 16 year old whos already 2 star with 5 star potential and playing for Ghana u20s hes in my U21s and im giving him an odd game in cups is this wrong? I want him at the club for 3 years to get home grown

I don’t own a computer….
But I’m in my 3rd season in (with Blyth) and in last season we got a wonderkid, (I play with in game editor, to see their real potential), I need to know what’s the best thing for him.
(He is 4.5 potential).
He is a natural striker that can play as inside forward on the right.

What do i do when i have a player with amazing potential. Like as good as a high potential version of gavi in the same position but u cant improve a vital stat like passing

Perhaps you're a small lower division club who have to sell youngsters to survive but a able to reasonably compete and upset the bigger clubs in the division.

How do you slow those physical stats declining in particular?

Solid video. My question is how do you approach mentoring when all of your players don't have good personalities? For example a common experience for me when I take over a club is that almost all of the players are Balanced/Media friendly, which is a weak personality for development. How do you go about changing that and how long should it take to start getting a lot of Professionals in your team?
