The drive is so quiet and smooth. Its especially nice when you capture it with headphones on. I still like that ID4. Thanks Bjorn.

Now i have my id4. Drove 6000km in one Month on German Autobahn with an average of little bit less than 24kw/100km. Thank you for all your Input about electric Mobility.

What confusion is there Bjorn? GTX doesn't describe that the vehicles are AWD, just that they are the performance trim. All ID cars come as standard with RWD. Some can be had with AWD, that's the 4MOTION moniker. The ID.4 is sold as GTX 4MOTION, which has 250kW power and is AWD.

Interesting though, it seems like the current AP550 RWD has the same power as the 4MOTION variant, which means that it uses the older rear motor (or it's "detuned") paired with a front motor. GTX uses the AP550 with the front motor.

I did a 230k trip in my Enyaq 85, 19inch wheels. Travelling mostly at between 90-110km/h, 22c external temperature, achieved 14.1kwh/100km as reported by the car. Same AP550 motor. Great car, pleasure to drive, and great charging curve even if peak is around 130kw.

Wow VW is back in the EV game. This is a good news for the EV market.

The consumption numbers looks pretty good

I have this car, like it a lot, some issues are the home charging doesn’t seem to charge very much overnight. Would expect to put in a third of the battery in 5 hours. Not sure about the efficiency as I have a Kia EV6 which is better. It is a really good practical car. Thanks for the video.

Its a question you need to invest - in Germany - 2.700EUR for the 4Motion compared to the same horsepower RWD. The 4Motion can tow 200kg breaked weight more, 175kW not 135kW charging speed, but turning radius is bigger -> 11, 6m to 10, 3m

There's also a new GTX. You are testing the base AWD version which is called 4Motion. I don't see anything confusing in that. GTX indicates the top performance model.

AP550 has less agressive reduction ratio (close to 1:8), so in theory it should roll better. It's definitely worth to try the new Enyaq Coupe RWD in that test.

VW speedometers are always exact. Exactly 3km above that is. :) With the new speed warnings they should remove the 3km over reporting.

I guess it's easier to think of GTX like electric GTI, sportier model

It’s a little disappointing there wasn’t much of any difference with the GTX which has much larger wheels. I’d say it’s almost within rounding error the discrepancy in wh/km//wh/mi.

Could you show the charging curve? Ideal would be a graph from 5% to 100%, so we can see that plateau.

When will be V2L at VW cars (id.4, Enyaq etc.)

I think the car would show the active A/C error when has been parked for over 30 mins or so and then started again.

Efficiency appears to have increased at low speeds, but nothing appears to have changed at higher speeds.
I would have hoped for a little more, especially after all the marketing VW has done here - and it's also questionable what it looks like in winter, VW has always been weak here.

Will you see if you can uncover what’s behind the issue with the AC? Perhaps a rodent or manufacturer defect. And possibly redo some tests if you have the time with the AC working?
