Real Life In North Korea!

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, or North Korea, is rightfully considered one of the most closed countries in the world, making it extremely difficult to find reliable information about it. This is because the country doesn’t provide statistical data to global information banks, and any pictures or videos taken by Western tourists are heavily censored.

So many questions:

Do they import stuff or is everything made in Korea? If so, how come their clothes seem so varied? You would assume without imports they would all be wearing identical outfits

If they are brainwashed into hating America and the west, why do they wear western fashion e.g suits and ties?

If everyone is assigned a job after school what’s the process of this? How do they decide who becomes a road sweeper? Who becomes a artists or midwife? How do they choose…!?

The intro to this video claims, correctly, that it is very hard to obtain any real info on North Korea... and proceeds to provide very dubious info about North Korea. Just one example, what is that 3-generation long prison sentence? The narrator says "if you commit a crime, this happens"... like what crime? Do they not have courts and different kinds of sentences for criminals? Do they not have death penalty and so the harshest punishment is this three generations of forced labor? For what crimes is this sentence given? And since we are only in the third generation of Kims, are there any families that have even served this sentence fully? What about the forth generation children, are they taken away at birth? Is the third generation prisoner also there for life, or do they get out at some specific age? Or do they have like a "family" sentence of 100 years, that will be served by anyone? What about if they have a lot of children? How do they even make children, do they have family prison cells with privacy where they have sex ??

I mean... please shut up about the random "horrifying factoids" and explain at least some of this! ... Also what are your sources, if it is impossible to get any information outside of the allowed tourist lanes with a guide?? It reminds me of that bit from Pirates of the Caribbean, where the prisoners say "Noone survives seeing the Black Pearl", and Jack Sparrow replies "So how do you know about it, if noone survives"?
