I hope the north Korean people prosper. Politics aside, any improvement to their life is good.

I am a Chinese student who is now studying in Canada. The interior of those apartments in North Korea looks just like the new apartment in my grandma’s home back in Wuhan. 😅😅😅I believe this buildings may be designed by the Chinese construction company in a 1990s style.

I feel so happy for them, in the west you have to be well educated and to work for half of life just to buy maximum 50sq meters apartment on the end of city, very nice from their government, you wont ever see such a thing to be done by any western country, much respect for North Korea and their leader from Serbia ❤

Make no mistake. Pyongyang has been going through a long series of such shiny, show-off residential blocks. They all ended up losing their paint and tiles in less than a year and becoming almost uninhabitable not much later, with people installing their own coal stoves with handmade chimneys so they don't freeze in winter and car batteries on the balcony to help them over the city's regular blockouts. Apartments in the lower floors are highly desired because elevator service is completely unreliable. Unless, of course, you live in the very center of the town, in the area reserved for the country's nobility from the Worker's party.

North Korea reminds me of the fictional country Panem. A luxurious capital with very poor districts surrounding it.

Notice how every single light in every building is always on at the same time…

Politics aside. The roads look a lot like Seoul. Clean, detailed, & quite complex looking

These type of apartments are only for the very loyal people to the system and who have special abilities. There are waiting lines for people to get a "permit" to live in the capital Pyongyang, not just anyone from the outskirts can just go and live, maybe they cannot even visit it, if they look poor and not up to standard.

If i had the choice of being offered a 'free' apartment in Pyongyang or a tent on the moon, I think I know which I would rather go for...

If I would put a portrait of Kims in my house it would be my pleasure.

I mean Kim Dahyun, Kim Minju...

Kidding aside but I love the development of Pyongyang.
