Great video. When testing relay, the fact that it clicks is a good indicator of it being good; however, it needs to be pulled out and energized and then test resistance once activated. Thanks so much for your time and effort.

I tell you that your instructions were good enough to get my truck out of the grocery shopping parking lot where I had to abandon it this last December 20, 2013.  I had read my Chilton's manual, several other youtubes on this and an f150 online forum.  In the end, you made the most sense and made it real simple.    

It has classic fuel pump failure symptom (s).

It was just above 7 degrees here in Maine when I bundled up and road my bike up to the supermarket on Christmas Day (today) at about 1:30 P.M.

I followed your instructions exactly, with the addition of thumping on the tank with a wooden block.  

I was alone and so had to cycle the key and listen all by myself.  I went through your instructions exactly.  At first attempt, nothing:  There was no hum from the fuel pump priming, even after pounding on the tank with a block of wood.  I got into the fuse box inside the hood.  I could not pull the fuses because I failed to bring any tiny pliers and it is so cold.  But I guessed where that switch was and wiggled the 20 amper next to it.  Anyway, I stood outside with the door closed and my long arm extended around the the ignition switch.  I rotated the key back and forth, and was pretty certain that each time I could hear a click coming from that fuse box (the switch!). gave it ignition and STARTED!  It is either a lazy switch or lazy fuel pump but I got it back here to my garage on my own!!!! Now the repair is on my terms.  

After all, called AAA and gave them the scoop and I called the garage several times on the 21st and they did not call back at all. On Christmas Day I made my move.  Now, the repair is going to be on my terms!   CHEAP!  It was either this or bend over!

Fuel pump fuse absolutely no power. I bypassed it made the pump work build up pressure but the injectors are not firing. What may cause these both not to work

all my relays are good. all electrical components work inside the car. took my fuel pump out and tested it works fine, replaced my battery still no luck... my problem started with touching two wires while replacing my stereo. I did blow a 25 fuse in the engine compartment and replaced it still no luck. I have a 2001 mercury grand marquis. I want to say I fried my computer but confused that everything inside works it just docent send current to the fuel pump. HELP ANYBODY PLZ.

The fuse and relay checked out ok on my '05, 3.0L Ranger. I disconnected the wire plug under the truck to measure 12 volts at the fuel pump pin but measured 0 volts with the key on. Could it be a bad inertia switch?
