Please stop calling your dad by his first name SLY, unless he wants you to, it’s really disrespectful . Even if you are a Stallone it is not right, he is your father not your buddy on the street. He is your father and it should be the same for your mother.
Parents are to be called mother and father, mom and dad etc. not by their first name!

The only way I have understood this is by kids who were never raised by their biological parents or have step parents that they are not close to or sometimes adopted or fostered by parents that they don’t like at all . Usually parents that they are not biological and have had a not close relationship with or parents that they were not raised by.
But for the most part children and when you become an adult and have had great parents and relationships with them and have been given a great home and family life then why the hell do you think it’s ok to call them by their first names like they are just common people? WTF? Shows no respect! Please be grateful for your parents and the life you have been given.
