Artemis: Look at you, Sister! Your brother once had us all convinced he was trying to fight his way to Olympus. Now none of us can believe you're trying to do it for real.
Melinoe: I've known Hermes about as long as you, and can count the number of favors he's asked of me on one hand. Besides, I could use the change of scenery.
Artemis: Then by all means! What a time, that you're on your way up to the mountain while I'm on my way down to the Underworld. At least we crossed paths!

At first I was sad there was no Zag in this game. Then I realized Supergiant just made a GENIUS move to make us completely emotionally invested in saving our beloved previous protaginist.
Sneaky bastards! I want Zag back 😭😭

Poseidon and Demeter really miss Zag, I mean, Poseidon's voice tells everything, he genuinely misses him and Demeter got attached to him very quickly. Our boy Zagreus deserves to be part of this game.

Zagreus is probably VERY fortunate that Aphrodite figured out Chronos was the reason they lost contact. Knowing how she can be in the myths I imagine she would not take too kindly to being ghosted.

I'm kind of hoping that after you rescue him he either functions like Olympians to give you boons, or functions like chaos/hades to give you occasional powerful boons. The god of blood, helping out his little sister.

I love the implication that Aphrodite was just casually sending messages to Zagreus all the time, enough to notice his disappearance. Though, it’s also funny that she noticed mostly because he quit responding to them, meaning Zagreus probably always responded to her messages, despite how many it was implied she sent.

Interesting, so the reason why Hephaestus wasn't around in the first game was because he simply sat out when Nyx When to the Olympians for help, But.
In a way he does have a point if the other guys didn't bring each other into their problems. Maybe things wouldn't have escalated to certain situations.

And it's nice to see that the other gods all remember Zag fondly, especially since they got more involved with the Underworld operations. Since he became the official stress tester for their defenses. He must have put up one hell of a resistance against Chronos before eventually being captured and sealed off to who knows where.

I like how Hermes just helping zagreus ended being genuine attachment. The way he refer to Melinoë task as "we" also shows how much he willing to openly involved this time to save the family and zagreus

I genuinely love the differences between Melinoe and Zagreus so much. Mel is so burdened by duty but is also deeply innocent and focused, coming across as naive. It gives her this perfect younger sibling energy to the cool rebellious overachiever brother.
