For those who want to use the medieval iron warrior. Either make a H shape insert to put in the hole behind the lockup features to prevent the button from being pressed. Or unscrew the entire thing and remove the spring so it can't open up on you during Airsoft.

the dye i4 variants (i have the same exact one as Matt displayed) are very form fit, minimalist and comfy. they have ease of looking down an optic with a 1/3 or half riser mount, they never fog up, never cracked, has a surprisingly wide filed of view, a comfortable amount of foam, and is very breathable.
the only downside about the dye i4's, in my opinion is that the adjustable clip strap does tend to loosen, but very minimal. (I use it with a tan shemagh with a simple top head wrap around, bandana style) and it never seems to loosen after that.
(also if you have a silk or any smoother type of balaclava it tends to slide up and down a lot more)

the dye i5 variants are a small amount more expensive, but I believe is worth the purchase, very similar to the i4's although it has a bit of a larger frame, has a crank style adjustable strap on the back, unlike the dye i4's that only have clip adjusters. it has more dense, padded two stage foam that is more comfortable to the skin, and has a well over enough field of view.
only downside is that it's a bit larger then the i4's, being a bit more firm with the cheek flexibility, and having a more difficult time aligning your optic and getting a clear sight picture.

Asg full-seal eye-pro: $15
6mm pro shop mask: $12.75.
Total cost: about $30 after adding taxes and shipping.

Works like a charm and you aren't blowing triple digits on flashy/name brand designs like getting a dye or Oakley's. (I didn't realize just how expensive dye masks were, bruh.wav)

How you going to mention Jet in a segment about protecting teeth when he full auto someone's teeth out?! 😆

After wearing a little bit of all of them, I’ve personally decided to just wear a balaclava or multi wrap. Having cloth over your face will stop bbs from potentially knocking a tooth out. Googles just work, especially when wrapped over a bump helmet.

I had an 80s-era gas mask.

One of the really great features, and I've never seen this replicated on any of these masks... when you inhaled, the air entered the mask below the eyes.

The mask had two chambers. A lower one that covered your mouth and nose, and an upper one which covered your eyes. Air could only move from outside to upper to lower to outside.

This meant that every inhale brought fresh, dry air from outside across your lenses and your eyes, both cooling them and keeping the humidity off (no fogging); and every exhale was kept away from the upper chamber.

Nothing I see in any of these resembles this. Some attempt to keep your breath from your eyes; but the eye space itself has nothing but passive air-flow at best. Yes, putting a fan in the last helmet was cool; but that could have been powered by breathing.

Let me know if you know of something that resembles what the mask did.

I wish there were more options for eye protection for people with glasses. They can be such a pain at times

I have the #11 Medieval Iron Warrior helmet. It looks awesome and it does the job. The only down fall of it is when you open it, it gets tricky to close it. It's a bit on the bulkier side. And the package does come with a plastic glass-like replacement.

Revision Desert Locust + OneTigris folding mesh mask. It's an almost perfect seal, and still gives you a decent cheek weld that you don't get with full mesh masks.

never use mesh eye protection unless you have glasses underneath.

I use NB tactical balaclava with V2 mesh inside and some 3m high profile goggles so I can fit novritsch antifog unit. And works like a charm.

Just as a recommendation from a paintball player I would recommend JT pro flex frames that come in all kinds of colors and have a lot of different lens choices

Matt keeps touching the
I fog any and all eyepro . What I have found that is 100% for me is ..
1. Regular ole sweat band for ma foe head.
2. Dawn dish soap. Couple drop on you fingee and swirl it around till it tacks up. Then buff dry with a Norwex or other super high quality cloth.
Last two games where in Minnesota, ultra high dew points, high humidity in the fogging . I was running valken double pane thermal goggles.

On your website is the Matrix Lurker mask. It does not list an ANZI rating. There's no review videos on YouTube. I think it's a cool mask and want to buy one but I don't want to lose an eye. Is it safe to use in gameplay?

I have one that is very similar to the shadow warrior mesh mask / balaclava combo. In recent times I almost exclusively play CQB and I keep getting hit in the forehead :D Yesterday I had it on with a small cap and someone managed to shoot between my glasses and my hat so now I have a lovely scar.
I am thinking about switching to a paintball mask so that I could peak more "freely" and not be scared of getting shot in the face with a shotgun. But most of them can not be worn together with a helmet so I am in a bit of a tight spot right now :/

DO NOT GET THE ROTHCO OTGS!!!
They fog up so much, so fast. They are also rather uncomfortable, and hard to adjust

Is there room in the matrix tactical helmets to wear walker razors on the inside over your ears?
