Every single time I am just tired of the BI thing, all those nonsense requirements, deadlines and countless queries, measures from other developers which I need to maintain - I just watch my go-to channel. Pumps me up and gets me stoked every single time. You, guys, are really, really outstanding teachers.
And a quick, off topic remark: IMHO, I think it is time for MS Power BI desktop to do something with Linux. PBI is hands down one of the best tools out there. I know I would be reeeeally happy to see this happen somewhere down the line. Even if it is a distant, uncertain future.

OMG, you are a gem!! Thank you so much for this. I've searched everywhere for a way to copy & somehow I missed the most logical straight forward one!!!

Paulie M—I second that!!! Just yesterday I was opening the Advanced Editor, copying the verbiage, going to the other file, and pasting it. This is just so DANGED on point and on time!

I am SCREAMING at work. 4 years in and I've been checking one at a time, copying one at a time, creating and pasting one at a time... THANK YOU 😭😭😭

Copy of the query is so useful - use it often - I did not know about tasking into notepad for the full code WOW

Amazing feature, yes it is! When exporting the code to the notepad and debugging it, how do you put it back? Copy and paste won't work... that would be bananas too!

It would be great if you could do the same (copy and paste) with a table generated with DAX (e.g. CALENDAR function) within the data model

I've been looking for help with a related questions - How do I copy multiple Applied Steps in one swoop (instead of one at a time) in Power Query from one worksheet to another (same workbook)? Thanks.

Hi. Great video as always. I have a question, can you copy excel power query queries into BI?

That’s soooo easy and efficient!

Thanks for the tip!

Just utilized this feature the other day...saved a ton of time.

This feature is great, but note it can be a bit buggy if you try and copy and paste a query with a dependency when that dependency already exists in the target file. The dependency is renamed with a (2) after it, but the main query will now target the existing one in the target report.
P.S. Just in case it wasn't clear, you can copy between Power Bi and Excel.

Now... give me this functionality for all my measures.

hey. I have one question. Suppose I want to create a copy of one query. But whatever changes occur on the original, that changes should also apply to the copied query. Let me explain, On the Original, I am applying different power query steps and on the copied query, I want to use different power query steps. But the step applied to the original also should apply to copied one. Thank you for your help. You have been a great help to solve my daily problems.

Hi Pro, can we link two PBi files so we can have a linked table and refresh rather than having to copying the queries all the time? Issue is the Source we get the Data from is access restricted and someone else uses their credentials to refresh. And we have access to the PBix. Can we create another PBix and have a link to one of the tables in the master PBix? Please suggest a better way to sort this out
