Показать описание
This is the 5th episode of my small series "music theory in 5 minutes" which is a series that will try to teach as much music theory as I can, in short 5-minutes videos.

In this episode we see the different kind of triads (chords of 3 notes). We see the difference between major chords, minor chords as well as augmented ans diminished chords.
We also cover how to find the chords that fit a scale.

This is also an introduction to intervals (3rd and 5th), degrees and the dominant, subjects will cover more in details in later videos

I cannot understand how you only have 10k subscribers. Your content is insanely good. Thanks my dude.

This is why I'll never become a youtube. You provide the best content regarding those topics by a mile (and I've watched a lot), and your views stay illogicaly low. This is nuts. Thanks for this. You are incredible.

I just discovered your channel watching your Pigments Videos (very good) and say the music theory (which are amazing) and immediately subscribed. I predict you should get a lot more subscribers soon, as your content is SO good! Very professionally done with the great visual graphics and nice even pacing of information. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to watch some more.

C'est limpide... On dirait même que c'est simple ! Bravo, cher grand pédagogue ! Super pour les caractères d'usage de chaque accord ! Génial !

The Tonic with the Major third and flat fifth is not called a 'hard diminished' but rather a 'half diminished'! As you've only diminished half of the chord (the fifth). It's also referred to as a Minor 7 flat 5 eg Cm7b5. :)

Great value, as always. Question - What about root note + minor third + augmented fifth? Is it still considered a valid triad? It sounds nice but there's more than a third between a second and a third note so maybe this is some another chord after inversion?
