Welcome to my Beats and Bobs, In this 15th episode on Music Theory in 5 minutes, we'll talk a bit about embellishing tones.

They are non-chord tones (notes that are not part of your chords) that can help add interest to your melodies. We'll see:
- Neighbour tones
- Passing tones
- Escape tones
- Anticipations and Suspensions
- Appoggiatura

I hope you like this video, and thanks for passing by!

You're the coolest guy ever, i'm very fond of your videos! I was very frustrated trying to apply theory to my melodies and music overall, but after watching your videos it all finally comes together! Keep it up my man! You're the best

You have a talent for teaching in addition to music. Definitely one of the best channels on the Tubes. Simple and very effective. Thanks so much. Big fan.

1) Why is the lower neighbor tone 2 semitones below? The tone is not only off the chord also off the scale, right?
