Great video - sometimes managers are unapproachable or they aren’t able to resolve an issue so they neglect it. Then staff come to the owner if accessible. Sometimes there is tension between those 2 parties and it gets quite complex.

Yea. They're definitely going to you bc they don't want to go to Eddie. Then the employee that came to you thinks "how could Eddie's direct report not know that Eddie doesn't know the answer or isn't available or is unapproachable"? They must know, so this response must be passive aggressive.

It's not this easy. People know who their report is. They don't want to report to that person.

You can't always go to Eddie. Not everyone should be a manager.Good Communication and transparency is everything in a working relationships
