I was born in Houston, Texas and regularly eat frito pie. It's one of my favorite comfort meals. Cheap, filling and delicious but it's so much better with sour cream 😊

BenDeen great job showing an authentic Frito Pie. My ancient mom is watching with me and is giving me the historical facts on Frito Pies since she lived it. First, it was started in a drug store in Santa Fe, New Mexico the neighbor to Texas. Second, they cut the small bag of Fritos along its side. She said that the small bags back then were about the size of two bags today. How you made the pie was right on authentic.
