why when i drop the folder in to a go pro, the gopro don't start the update but if i insert the file in to a gopro he started a update? PS: i have a gopro hero3 white "Firmware is lock at the 3.07"

i have done this now the lcd says no sd and no buttons work all at. and the camera is still on.
