Grab your ballet shoes (or socks) and follow along with me! This is a great workout for those just starting ballet or for those with more experience. We’ll really target the legs and tone, tighten, and sculpt those muscles! Who doesn’t want long lean muscles?! Oh Lord... I studied ballet from the age of 7 until I was 24. I'm now 63 and did this barre for the first time in 39 years... Ouch--it was harder than I'd imagined. The knees are a little achy, but the turnout was still there. My legs were jelly by the end, but I finished. Thank you for the great class, I'll be coming back.

I'm overweight, not flexible at all, and have super weak ankles and feet. This was a (very fun) challenge but I stuck through it😂

Loved it. I've taken dance classes all my life but still at beginner level ballet. Trying to work on flexibility especially my hip ext. rotators as I age and have been dancing more, your ballet class is the kind of class to help me meet my goals: simple moves working on flexibility and strength. I started ballet from scratch at 55 and now 62 taking my 4th exam but still want to push ballet to the next level and am getting a barre put in my living room! This barre workout is perfect for my home practice. I can’t wait to look at your other videos. You have such an encouraging and gentle voice. ❤

I’m 69 and with modifications I was able to make it through. Of course at times I was hanging on to the back of the chair quite a bit. And my form was absolutely horrible. But it was fun, so what the heck. Thanks for the video. It’s going on my ballet playlist.

These short workouts are perfect for those of us who can only take a ballet class once a week! Going just once a week I feel my progress was stagnating, but when I do these ones between classes I really notice improvement from week to week.

I took ballet for 10 years in my youth. I’m now 53 and wanting to enjoy ballet again. This was a really good workout—harder than I remember. Kind of glad I can do this from my living room instead of in front of a whole class! I really appreciate your voice-over rather than talking live during the exercise. Perfect!

Love that you give instructions when you switch sides too. When I'm facing away from the tablet I can still follow. Most videos only talk during one side.

I love ballet and this was one of the first ballet workouts i tried, i wasn't able to complete the entire workout before, but I just finished it the first time just now! Love it so much! God bless!

I have been using this workout for about 2 to 3 years now. I find it really does create firm muscle tone. I have been taking ballet most of my life but am now 71 and do it at home. I have three altogether routines I do and somehow I manage to do them. Thank you so much for this exercise.

It is rare that I comment on a video. By far, this one of the best basic barre videos on YouTube. I was unsure a follow along would be doable. After many years of not dancing, this was a pleasant working of the legs.
