How to Drain a Bestway/Intex Without Garden Hose Adapter

Avoid the hassle & expense of buying a $20 adapter to drain your above ground ring pool

Push the valve in. Reach in and stick a screwdriver in the gap it makes inside the pool to hold the valve open.

The cheapest way I did was just get a stick and put it inside to hold it open and let it drain out 😎

Now u just have a flooded yard & if u have chlorine in the pool, it’ll kill the grass around it. Not as smart as u think. A hose is definitely needed to drain water away from yard

The water will drain out of the hoses without the pump running

I just took a flathead screw driver l pushed it into the hole and shoved the butt of it into the ground.

Take a standard 5/8 hose, cut off either end, about 18" from the end wrap 5 wraps of duct tape to make it thicker and stick the hose through the drain hole. The duct tape wrap will seal the hose into the drain.

Siphons are nice! And they can be started with a running garden hose. No sucking! Drained my 20' in half a day with the vacuum hose!

#An easier way! Simply open the tab where the air goes in at the top ring. Once all the air is deflated, the pool will empty itself!

hahaha dumb idea and making more work for yourself, put a stick in the outlet at the bottom and let it run preferably onto lawn or garden

Literally just grab the cap, lay it facing up and wedge it in the insert that the valve leaves open on the inside

Excellent dude.
I used the filter pump to pump it out also. To the level. Then put the pump into the pool on a stool. And pumped out the rest. And hovered with a wet and dry. I have the intex 4.5m X 2.2M. 7000 ltrs on a few hours thanks for sharing. 👍

My pool is 4, 88 in diameter, so a lot more water. How can I remove the rest of the water what is still on the lowest floor when all water is almost out? It is still too much to move the pool because I only want to move it from A to B

Ah so I do have to buy something. Well what I have next to me right now is a plastic tent peg and a stack of bricks. I’ll let you know how it works out.

I had one of those. 18 feet across 4 feet high. The easiest way to drain it was just a stand on the side of it put your foot to the ground and it drained like a tsunami. Two minutes and it was empty

I just stuck a butter knife on inside of the drain cap and let in run out slowly for several hours
