The 10 Most Dangerous Cities In North Carolina

Holy crap! Who would have thought THESE places in North Carolina are CRAZY dangerous?

When you look at the numbers, North Carolina is a little bit above average for crime per capita. For a southern state, it’s about as expected. Most of the state is just fine, but the bad areas are bad news, pal.

North Carolina! There were 44,000 violent crimes here last year, which is just about the national average. You can see how crime peaked here in the early 90s, went down by a lot, and is now ticking back up again, people. There’s a crime every minute here in the Tar Heel state.

Most of the state is just fine. In the biggest cities here like Raleigh and Charlotte, there are some bad pockets, but nothing like you’d see in OTHER big cities across the nation. Nope, most of the crime in this state are in smaller places that you might not have even heard of before.

You are so adorable Nick! I've been researching states to move to for two years now and you've kept me from completely stressing out about it all many times with your content! Thanks!!

When I lived in NC, my car was stolen from the gym parking lot. Guess where it was found months later? At a residence in Robeson County. It was partly stripped, and oddly, the firing order of the engine had been swapped around. No charges were ever made, not even for being in possession of stolen property. I followed up with the Sheriff's office for months, and they could not have cared less. Since then I have always thought of Robeson county as the perfect place to take your stolen vehicles. Bring 'em on down!

Nick just keeps getting better and better with these videos. Whether it is serious or for fun they are always entertaining and informative. I wonder if he writes his own scripts, ....and does his own wardrobe, .because they are always excellent

Fayetteville got its nickname "Fayettenam" from the fact that many soldiers trained in nearby Fort Bragg before leaving for Vietnam in the 1970s. The 500 block of Hay Street was notorious for its prostitution, drugs, bars and violence during this time.

The I-74 corridor is very poor. You have Rockingham, Wadesboro, Laurinburg, Lumberton, Whiteville, etc., in North Carolina, and Marlboro County, Dillon, etc. just on the other side in SC.

I worked with a guy years ago that lived on a farm. He was asked if he worried about crime. “Hell no, everybody out there has guns and hunts, plus you can bury a lot of bad guys in your field than will never be found.” Pretty sure he was just kidding, pretty sure.

Did you try the pork shoulder?

19:36 "We are on Martin Luther King, and that's usually the bad side of town" hahaha, I'm so dead. I live in California, we have a Martin Luther King street in almost every neighborhood out here, that was so funny to hear.

I live in Durham and am disappointed to see it’s gone up from #10 last year to #9 this year. And our mayor’s biggest contribution to the city is lip service.

It's crazy the crime percentage in the town's associated with military(Goldsboro, Fayetteville)😳 I grew up in the Goldsboro area because my dad was in the military but it was much different back then. I thank God every day that my mother moved me and my brother to Florida years after they divorced🙏🏼 There really is nothing for young people to do and I have many stories to prove it (mostly harmless fun😊 "illegal", but harmless) great video Nick❤️❤️ it was truly a blast from the past

I lived in Oregon for 30 years. Then I moved to Henderson, NC for two. There were more murders every month in Henderson than for the *entire 30 years* where I lived in OR. And, of course, the first time I got mugged and...ok probably the second time I was shot at. Down town there is a ton of buildings with obvious lines of bullet holes from drive by shootings. Fun times.

Now I'm only about 40 miles away by the lake but I lost the key to my front door about 2 years ago. I don't need it. That divot in my thigh in the shape of a Glock has gone away, don't need it strapped to me everywhere I go. The worst crime I have heard about in quite a while is somebody stealing a package from a porch.

But now I can't get a Sheetz burrito at 3:00AM. :(

13:14 in Canada there is 5 cities with 1 in 5 chance of becoming a victim of crime or higher. Those being Iqaluit (1/2), Thompson (1/3), North Battleford (1/4), Yellowknife (1/4) and Wetaskiwin (1/5)

If you want a comparison, the highest of any city in the US is Tukwila, Washington at 1 in 7 chance of becoming a victim of crime.

I live in Lumberton and yes I own 3 guns. If you don't own a gun expect your house to be robbed clean. Abandoned houses have to be boarded up or they will steal all the wiring in your house. They will cut catalytic converters off cars. I've seen it all living here.

That is some good information. When referring to Fayetteville, what zip codes were reviewed? Many people lump other smaller areas into Fayetteville, i. e. St Paul's, Raeford, Spring Lake, and Hope Mills. These are separate from Fayetteville.
