So up there with you on Fourth Wing and often feel like I'm out in the woods by myself on this one, lol. I DNF'd it, twice. And definitely start with Mistborn to get into Sanderson.

Fourth Wing was definitely a disappointment for me. I didn’t hate it but was very underwhelmed. Although we kept being told how dangerous it was, it didn’t actually feel that way (it’s no GOT!) On a more positive note, I just finished listening to The Lost Bookshop and really enjoyed it, although I’d say the magical realism element definitely feels secondary to what’s more of a lit fic book. I didn’t really know anything about it before picking it up so had zero expectations and it was a pleasant surprise! Fave read of the year so far for me is The Sword of Kaigen ❤

Omgosh! I’m a big thriller person and I needed something light hearted and sweet, I read the Letter Tree by Rachel Fordham. It reminded me a lil of divine rivals mixed with romeo and juliet, its closed door too. You should give it a try!

Ouch!!! You didn’t like my favourite series of all time!!! 😂 That’s cool. The Skyward series is Y.A. Sci-fi and not part of the Cosmere so it probably isn’t the best to start with. I hope that it hasn’t put you off trying his other books. I’m off to go categorising my mushroom collection. M-Bot for life 😊

I wonder if I need to read The brothers Hawthorne before reading The grandest game. Because I did like The final gambit, but I have heard only bad reviews about The brothers Hawthorne, so I'd like to skip this one.
Part of your world is reall nice and I think you would enjoy it, but the 'sequel' Yours truly is very different (smut, dramaaa) and I didn't like it.
