German Bread vs French Bread

Today I went to Germany and France to try the bread in each country.

I mean you compared grey bread with white bread.

Unlike white bread, Grey bread isn’t meant to be eaten on its own. You eat it with toppings. Also you kinda got bread from a bakery chain and nothing against that, it’s a affordable product made in bulk in a central bakery and then distributed to up to 100 retail locations. but you could’ve gotten some from one of the independent artisanal bakeries you find in every german city.

I lived in France for 8 Years and in Germany for 14 years. Even though France has very good bread Germany is superior. But French pastry is way better

French bread was actually invented in Imperial Austria since it is steamed. Baguettes are great white bread with limited nutritional value. The darker German breads have a lot more variety and are far healthier.
