Masculine and feminine are not the only options

In this video I talk about an issue I have with a lot of Neo-Pagan and Wiccan circles putting masculine and feminine in two strict boxes and acting like those are the only two options when in reality masculine and feminine is a spectrum with neutral in the middle and this is reflected in not only the Divine, but also in nature, the universe, and ourselves as well.

Also forgot to mention intersex people and also intersex/hermaphroditic animals such as slugs.

My favorite Greek god, Zeus, has both masculine and feminine qualities. When he swallowed the giant Métis, he gained the power and trait of feminine wisdom due to her living in his stomach. Interestingly, scientists are now beginning to believe that the gut is actually our second brain, and some are even calling it our first brain. It’s as though the ancient Greeks already knew something that modern science is just catching up with.

In my opinion the masculine and feminine are energies.
They interact with each other in many different forms and ways.
To produce offspring is just one form in which these interactions taking place.
But also androgynous people.
Or plants who have female and male inflorescences.
Or woman who have masculine traits and so on.

I personally even struggle to see it as a spectrum. I see feminine qualities and masculine qualities that are associated with men and women in the traditional sense, and while anyone having any combination of them can be placed on a spectrum based on which ones are the most defining traits in an individual, but it is only like that because it's filtered through people's brains that is conditioned to see everything as either one or the other.

The way I see it is we put people too much on a spectrum as a half-solution instead of seeing them as individuals with sets of traits that are unique to them, traits that have much more meaning and defy people much more than someone's physical body.

Yes I am one of the persons that dont fit in one of the two options.
Man or woman.
I am physically one of the two. But mentally I feel otherwise.
I know this is not understood in societies who have not recognized these types of humans for generations.
The people are mostly socialized into gender binary.
If you have a passport as a legal person, you have only two options.
If you want to marry, you have to be either a man or a woman.
There are no third options.

It does not exist in the head of the people.
They treat you as a man or as a woman.
Not as neutral or in-between.

But in case of marriage for example one could say - this adult person
marries this adult person.

One could say person instead of man or woman.

But in other areas it is more difficult.
Lets say in sports.
Or hospital or prison or toilets and changing rooms.

Thanks for this, it’s quite a refreshing perspective rather than trying to force strict gender categories onto every thing. This makes more sense
