So full disclosure, David and his partner recorded this album and spent their entire record company advance on friends…(Not the best idea)…...Chrysalis heard the finished product and refused to release because (and it does) the tempo's on every track sped up and slowed down and the original drum track was abysmal...….I was working in London (at that time) as newbie session drummer...…...every drummer in London turned down the re record of the drum track...…..except was young enough, "Dumb" enough and needed the I went into Good Earth studio (in the west end) and re recorded all the drum tracks in one just the producer and an engineer present...…..got paid a grand (a lot of money when you cant pay the rent in London) and left...…..no credit on the album but got later im watching this at home on TOTP...…..The drummer in the TOTP video is Andy Duncan (Great drummer and friend) who didn't want the re record session but referred it to me...….and here he is on TOTP...…...welcome to playing sessions...…..BTW TOTP was all mime...….and it should just fun

Voted the best Brit act in 1981, Linx, consisting of David Grant & Sketch came out of nowhere with a competent debut album in1980 and scored a massive national hit with this track Your Lying, which was totally different sounding, to all the other Brit Funk tunes out at the time
