How to Stop Remote on LG TV From Turning on Other Devices

If every time you turn on your TV with your remote, your other external devices such as a Blu Ray player connected via hdmi to the TV turns on, this is how you turn off.

Thank you so much, this has been very frustrating between my LGCx tv being controlled by my LGG3 TV in our Home theater room.
It was so bad that we couldn't use both tvscat the same time even though there 3 generations apart and in separate parts of the house. Like over 45 feet away with many walls between them!

I needed this for the REVERSE situation, i.e., turn off all connected devices when the LG Magic Remote power button is selected. Guided me to HDMI SIMPLINK option, which I turned on. Works perfectly, thank you!

No, that's not it. Below that you have other options Auto Power Sync... that's it.
Simplink is option for controlling other devices connected through HDMI connections so you can control other devices but not turning them on and off (if you disable Auto Power Sync) every time when you want to power off/on your TV.

No, hasn't worked for me. I've turned Simplink off on both my LG TVs (I bought a new LG TV today because the Black Friday sales are still on and my old Samsung TV's no longer functioning properly with its remote) and both remotes operate both TVs! LG knows this is an issue because they've created a phone app to allow your mobile phone to control your LG TVs separately, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be forced to have my TV hooked up to the internet constantly in order to use it (just another way for technology to snoop on you and bombard you with ads -- you know, these organisations will invade your privacy by logging what you watch given half a chance -- they've turned your TV into data gathering device). LG should provide a simple solution to this so that each remote control can be paired easily with a specific TV via a pin number or something. As it is, I have to do a Heath Robinson job by simply blocking the remote sensor on the TV I don't want operated by these remotes. So ridiculous!

What if I have two TVs in separate rooms and the remote controls both TVs? My wife is in the bedroom and when I’m in the living room the remote in the bedroom controls the tv in the living room it’s so annoying.

What about for a non smart tv…?! My NON SMART LG TV REMOTE turns on and off and settings and all that other shit my smart tv but not the other way around theres no home button on my non smart tv

This was happening for me but I didn’t know it was the remote doing it. I thought it was just that it was some new fancy thing powering on devices when the tv was turned on. Only reason I found this is because MY remote has been turning on all other TVs in my apartment.

My C2 is turning on a Sony OLED in another room!!!! I have no idea if this has damaged my Sony TV as it's in the living room and I thought it was off. The C2 is in a bedroom and I use it for gaming. I only caught it by accident. Asking me to enter a code so that the LG TV could control the Sony TV. So dumb that engineers thought this would be ok. I'll try this.
