The Rainey family rents a cottage on a canal in Suwannee, Florida for a weekend getaway. David and Cindy Rainey, their two children Bailey and Jack, and a family friend arrive at the cottage on Friday. On Saturday, David and Cindy reportedly get in an argument, and David Rainey leaves the house on foot, walking away without his phone, wallet, or glasses. When Rainey has not returned the next morning, Cindy calls police. An extensive search ensues, and that evening Rainey's body is found dumped in the canal. Police say Rainey was killed, then placed in the water after death. Two years after his death, Rainey's mother has filed a lawsuit against Cindy, Jack, and Bailey Rainey, claiming they dumped Rainey's body in the canal. The Dixie County Sheriffs have also charged each family member with tampering with evidence, a felony. Nancy Grace hosts a panel of experts to analyze the details of the case, the family's strange behavior, and the possibility of more charges.

Whenever I hear these horrific stories, I think for the millionth time how lucky I am to have had the parents that I did, and to have the brothers that I do. I wish everyone had that!

Nancy you are the bees knees!! Been watching and loving it all since the Scott Peterson case. Love your humor and that you know when to be serious and how you don't let a darn thing get by ya! You are the Queen of finding and calling out suspicious peeps and red flags and you literally do it with such confidence and, no pun intended, but a sense of grace. Hope to watch and listen to you for many more years to come 🫶 God bless and protect you and your family ❤

When my step daughter drowned in Lake Havasu, it took three days for her body to come up to the surface which was exactly the amount of time the police said it would take. I think he was dead a day and a half before he was reported missing.

Good thing the deputies checked twice! His body could have been hidden somewhere else and then thrown into the canal.

I watched Nancy as a young teen and now I'm a 34 year old (wife and mom of 3) still watching and agreeing with her insight. ❤❤

My condolences to the family, hope they get justice. 🙏🙏
Love Nancy‼️When my daughter was a teenager (now 28) She and I used to watch her every night. We would laugh at those facial expressions, those bold questions and the tell it like it is comments. I don't care what nobody says about her, what story she covers, I will always be TEAM NANCY!!❤❤❤

Nancy already solved this case! The two freeloader sons killed their Father! God bless you Nancy Grace! Our Father's. are precious to us! I loved my Dad to the moon and back! Stayed with him three days in his room before he passed away! All I could do is hold him and tell him how much I loved him! ❣️🙏❣️

My husband, myself and our two daughters were also at The Grand Floridian resort a year before the little boy was taken by the alligator. My daughters were ages 3&4 at the time. they were playing in the water up to their ankles in that exact spot . It was just about sunset time . I was sitting in the sand watching them. I NEVER in a million years would have thought that there were alligators in The Disney beach 🤦‍♀️. I was sick to my stomach when I heard the news of that sweet toddler dying.

Wait, what about the friend that was there? Did he kill him and the family helped put his body into the water?
