Large knives are like putting on a lot of clothes in very cold weather. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it!

As a big dude, carrying larger knives don’t bother me and actually being able to hold onto the knife is totally worth it to me.

I carry a small knife for doctors appointments and grocery shopping but carry a larger knife when walking the dogs on the trails or when I’m at work.

Ive carried a Rajah II while camping and didn’t find it cumbersome at all. I’m a small dude too 5’6” ~130lbs. I’ve carried a Drop Forged Survivalist in the woods too, and that doesn’t bother me. I actually like having the weight there in a way.

I paused your video to go order a Cold Steel Recon 1 tanto.. came back and finished the video wondering I should get a 4max to go with it.

I daily my full sized crooked river and absolutely love it! I get some strange looks sometimes but because it has the wooden handle people seem to be more forgiving of it compared to my old "tacticool" gas station knife

Largest knife I comfortably carry is the 4 max scout. Largest knife I can actually carry is the Voyager XL though although this one is pretty much the point at which it takes the whole pocket. The Recon 1 carries well although I sanded all the G10 not just a landing strip.

My favorite 4" blade legal knives are: Cold Steel Tanto Voyager; SOG Pent Arc; and a SOG Spec Arc. The two SOG's are VG-10 steel from Japan. 😃

I am a Cold Steel fan. I am also a Tanto fan. My heaviest folder is the 4Max Scout. My longest folder is the Counter Point XL. My other Cold Steel folders are as follow: Voyager Large Tanto, Voyager XL Tanto, Voyager Large Drop Point, Voyager XL Drop Point, Counter Point 1, Immortal, and SR1 Lite Tanto. Cold Steel make great folding knives, large and small.

Cold Steel Recon 1 with a clip point carries great, very ergonomic and a great price. Incredibly sharp and very easy to touch up. With it and a small and thin slicey Spyderco Chaparral you have most cutting tasks covered. Microtech Socom Elite manual, get one in your hands and give it a shot. Rugged as hell and awesome fall shut /easy open action. Great ergos and nice grip. Zero Tolerance 0562 is around 3.5 inches and is a nice Hinderer design. Great video as always, thanks!

I just picked up a tops CQT-Magnum Y-197 that I fell in love with for a LARGE folder. That is tip down carry. It is smoothe and surprisingly easy to EDC. RAZOR sharp and feels like it is built like a tank.
Would highly recommend it.

I will carry my full size crooked river or my SR1 tanto for shits and giggles. Large yes, uncomfortable, a little, but they are great knives and its fun.
