I use the pink jar gel hydro boost from nuetrogena and it is awesome. I use a mild AHA cream 2 to 3x a week. That's about it. At 42, not a single wrinkle. Piseses off my 37 year old sister who spends thousands a year on skincare and med spa treatments.

I honestly love that they showed something a derm prescribed. Obviously it won't work for everyone but it's nice to see something other than bentonite masks and witch hazel touted as the cure all.

I wish I'd known so many things about acne I do today, for someone I know who went through the most severe, cruel painful acne I've ever seen. My heart broke for them. They're sorta fine now, but it left them very scarred. Nobody should have to go through what they went through.

Doc, Are there negative long term effects in using skin products everyday? I wonder because a lot of chemicals involved. What will it be like after 20-30 years?

I broke out even more with benzoyl peroxide. All the break-outs stopped when I turned 30. Lately, I read that the Aldactone diuretic prescribed for me, also kept pimples away-- thankfully!

I use Epiduo gel (prescription, contains adapalene and benzoyl peroxide), and it works wonders! It's the only thing that has really worked for me, I use it in combination with an antibacterial face wash and a moisturizing gel that doesn't clog my pores, both by Sebamed.

Stop eating dairy (& often wheat - but dairy causes this, mostly..) Duac helps to finish off the rest. Gentle face wash & oil based moisturiser, twice a day.(& I write that bc if my doctor had told me this - instead of saying "diet doesn't matter ?!" - then my skin wd hv become clear again instead of years of miserable acne, hope nobody else suffers that way)🙏💜

I also believe vitamin E and C will help heals acne scars. It helped me.

I was with the worst skin when I was a teenager..I also saw the dermatologist and back then they had a medicine that worked the same. Every Wednesday i had to go get shots in my face and back then back then they had physoderm as a cleanser then something like duac and in pads. The routine was crucial but boy did my acne cleared up so beautiful that i dont need no makeup..matter fact ppl are always complimenting my skin and in my mid 40s i have not 1 pimple or acne .just semi large pores which it doesnt really bother me. Now i use korea snail based or water based or aloe.
