Hi everyone and In this video I transform an office Lenovo desktop computer into a classic gaming PC. Current specs are Intel i5 13400, ASUS B660M-A D4, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB, M.2 SSD, and MSI RTX 4060. The Game in this video Dead Island 2.

The parts that I took from the Lenovo are: CPU, RAM, and M.2 SSD. The other parts are brought for a pretty low price, all the parts were unpacked and probably displayed somewhere on shelves.

✔️Disclaimer: I Done this project for personal use only, not for sale or any other distribution now or in the future. Also, personally I do Not sell any components, other hardware or software.

Is this a conversion or a entire new pc 😂

Sorry, but this isn't turning an office PC into a Gaming PC, it's just using some parts of it on another computer...

Its rare to see you work on more recent pcs, and also screw lenovo to intentionally limit the upgradability

Did Lenovo really released a PC with no PCie support?!
Holy why :'D

That’s very frustrating that there is no PCIe slot. It’s the first time I see this in a small SFF. You should then put the cheapest processor compatible, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB SSD and sell it as is.

So basically just building a new PC but reusing the CPU and RAM? How is this even a conversion?

I'm kinda suprised that the lenovo motherboard doesn't even have a pcie slot lmao

Good job there! Given how proprietary the office PC was, going for a new MB/case/PSU and adding a GPU was definitely the best thing to do there.
You can still use that office PC with weaker components if you find compatible items to install.
Single channel memory will limit performance in games, but 16GB is certainly doable for most games out there.
The owner will be very happy with what they have received, and of course there is upgrade potential too.

Are you kidding you built a new computer .
Once you discover that there is no PCIE port
You have to cancel the idea and look for another computer that biomes the PCIE port

I have the exact same 4060 as you and it's one of the best bang for buck GPU's. I paid £299 for mine and it runs all my games at 1440p medium and 1080p high/ultra. Great video. Thanks.

is this a joke ? you've changed everything!!!

FYI, foam can generate static electricity, and possibly fry the motherboard.

In case anyone's wondering, the model of the Lenovo is the IdeaCentre 5.
I already tried looking for 2nd hand deals but didn't find anything worthwhile.

This was an interesting idea. Now you should get the old parts from the office pc and see if you can make a server, streaming pc, home pc, etc. You can also try to max it out and see how well it does in gaming.

i thought you were going to modify the board you can use a m.2 pcie converter but this is still nice

I’m guessing the plan originally was to use the original case and motherboard but Lenovo removed the pcie slot.

Very nice budget PC, case was meh, but that is the point! very sad about the first pc, look really pretty and was super-small, sadly the client needed something else. nice video!

Even the PCs are getting blacked now 💀

Hmmm.... salvaged the CPU, RAM and M.2 SSD from the original PC. The lack of PCIe slot in the original motherboard is awful - Lenovo cutting costs so much as to make some of their hardware near-useless for upgrades.
