Wuthering Waves is trying to find its own niche... But the fact they revamped 90% of the story and redisegned some of the characters is making me think that Kuro is seriously trying to compete with Genshin. And I honestly really like that.

How huge a success it'll be depends on two things - how much effort they put into marketing their game, and whether they make any screw ups in the first month after launch. These two reasons are what held PGR back from being as popular as it deserves to be. If WuWa manages these 2 properly, I'm confident of things going forward, as long as they follow PGR's payment model or maintain something similar. Gameplay is the least of my concerns - it's Kuro.

Kurogames seems to advertize Wuthering Waves quite well and with that, it will advertize PGR in a way too.

Because if WuWa is gonna be a success (and there is a big probability to be the case), people will want to know what else has Kurogames made.

Kurogames is gonna win pretty hard when WuWa will drop and they deserve it.

And don't worry about music, Kurogames (especially Vanguard Sound Studio) ALWAYS delivers.

When my bro saw me playing PGR a year back, he couldn't believe a game like that existed. It's really sad that they didn't market it well

If the devs truly deliver on all the promises they made in the Livestream, this game will be incredible. The story overhaul is very exciting and the visual changes looked very good. The character changes looked pretty good as well. Here's to hoping that kuro only gets better with the character design as the game updates.

Before, i didn't think WW could even hurt Genshin, but after both of their dev updates, even Mihoyo would be worried about what's gonna happen when that game comes out.

First of all yes, I think it'll do well cause I have one reason PGR, look how well Kuro game has done with that game, it wasn't a popular game but they've worked so hard and push the game to the point that every patch that comes out now just excites people who play and they listen to their customers and they'll do that, they already seem to be doing and with thst it'll do well

Just the fact that they're listening to feedback from players and content creators really shows how dedicated the developers are about the game and how much they want it to be good.

Kuro are already very good with casuals in PGR without taking away from hardcore players. In main story your characters have literal plot armor and cannot die against bosses. You still gotta fight it properly tho. So even thoae who are playing mostly main quest line can easily enjoy it.

If Kuro can write Surviving Lucem chapter for PGR, I believe they can do a good job on the story of WuWa.

One of the things PGR did poorly and why I think a lot of people appreciate Kuro rewriting the story is that PGR's first 8 chapters are generally considered irrelevant, bad and skippable. Having a bad story upfront probably made PGR perform poorly early, even if the story got better later

It'll do well for 2 reasons: Its "Genshin" but ran by a company that actually cares about its playerbase, while also having top quality action combat that you cant find in Genshin. Kuro already has a strong track record with PGR and their fans fully trust them to deliver, while Hoyo keeps making themselves look bad. It wouldnt surprise me if Hoyo magically becomes more "generous" all the sudden after this game releases. They know this game is a threat.

I'm honestly looking forward for that game. It looks cool. While I don't know how the story will be, but I prefer to keep it a surprise for now. I'm a huge sucker for stories of any games.

Btw, ww is likely coming out in 2-3 months, assuming that they hold the cbt in february, and it lasts 1 month. This is because the cn version of the cbt has enabled spending, meaning that the game will jave to release 1-2 months after the cbt ends.

Ironically, i dont think people will have trouble playing ww on mobile (could be wrong, things happen such as adding more to the world after updates). I play pgr on mobile with max graphics and i dont have any problem despite my phone being 3 years old. I think there was a story of someone taking a very old phone and somehow managing to play pgr with no problem, someone fact check me on this, but if true, that really speaks volumes

genshin's probably at its weakest point so its the perfect time to strike. it wont kill genshin but it will definitely knock em down a few inches

Pgr is already a very underated game by them so i think this will be good

One thing that'll keep me interested is if the character skeletons that they base their models off of actually have different body sizes for male and female, not e-girl, e-boy and chibi builds.
