Massive Ban Wave Hits Wuthering Waves!

Recently many players in Wuthering Waves have been banned. The reason given is the use of external plugins, but many players claim they didn’t use any cheats. Many feel that this ban is unfair because they don't understand the reason why they were banned. Customer service suggests a few possible causes like using cheats with macros and bots, account sharing, and more. A similar situation also happened in Genshin Impact, where players received the same reason for the ban, even though they hadn’t done anything against the rules.

most logical reason is the new co-op event, if one of the players in your team use cheat then the whole team will get banned, someone pointed this out a few days ago on facebook, whoever hasn't participated on the co-op event has higher chance of not getting banned. due to this I haven't participated in that event yet

I was also banned T^T, I did coop for the first time 2 days before i got banned. I didn't played that much 1 day before I got banned because our internet is slow, and then the next morning I woke up to play Wuthering Waves but I didn't expect to get banned for external illegal plug ins like the one that shows in this video. T^T I was playing since launch of the game and I will never risk my acc to get banned because I spent a lot of time and effort and some money on my account. I hope I can get my acc back. T^T

I got banned for just getting 1st place in the races during that event 6 times in a row. Kept getting paired with this one guy and he reported me. Saying I got externals when I am on PS5 with good internet. Salty people. Got the ban appealed but I missed out more than half of Zani's time. Guess I won't be playing the multiplayer events if people are that salty.

After watching this, I had a panic attack. I had to go and immediately check my wuwa account! Thankfully, I'm not banned, and I never used cheats, mods, or any of those, but I have bought from lootbar, which is 5 Star on Trust Pilot but considered third party? I gave up three other gacha games for Wuwa and have spent so much money on it! If Wuwa bans me for buying from lootbar for even a month I'm sorry but I'm never coming back and I'll return to those other gacha games or find a new one. 10 yr ban is wild! Wuwa might as well just ban them permanently forever! 😢

Incredible that people are reacting instead of going and confirming the validity of what is being shared. At least one person besides me here has looked deeper into this and found nothing like what is being described. The only stuff I found was from 7 months ago regarding the JP players being banned because of a weapon banner issue.

Thankfully I rarely play Wuwa much so I haven't even unlocked the coop mode yet or I was going to be terrified thinking "What if I log in on my account and it says I got banned" but luckily it's for those who played the coop mode with a hacker or someone using cheats
Still sad that those innocent players got Targeted cause of their coop teammates using cheats

Refund abuse sounds pure evil to me, if you love a certain game then doesn’t it hurt if you scam them like that? It goes for any game

The real reason is people using the astrite sites that offer them for less money. That is an external source and your not supposed to be doing that

Don’t use cheat in-game, it just spoil the gaming experience. And playing online game with cheat will easily get banned if detected, that common sense for players. ;)
