I love that Ben is an utter failure at the 2 things he wishes to be the most: An artist and an intellectual. Sure, he can pass tests and learn instruments but he'll never create something artistic worth anything. Just read one of his books if you doubt me. His character "Yard" had me in tears. He's simple minded when it comes to deep thought and he's so bitter about it that he's a comic book villain. Seriously, if you said to Ben "we should end world hunger" he'd roll his eyes even though you didn't even suggest how to do it. He's a bad person with a fragile ego. He'd be nothing if he were born in the projects.

I love how his resolution to free will, is to invent a being that has free will. Keep kicking that can down the road Ben...
