Tried this once before I realized the knit off the roller was being left in the compound. Be sure to apply tape on the roller to get the loose hairs off first. Cost me more. time as I had to sand out the knits.

I don’t understand why anyone would want the hassle of all the extra tools to accomplish the same thing as a 12 inch finishing blade.

NOW I HAVE TO CLEAN THE roller, the roller holder, the 6" knife and also the skimming blade. When I could of just used my twelve inch knife and been done with everything at the same speed.

27 years of hawk and trowel.<<< 3 coats on the butts on stilts of course. Quality counted but piece work required speed as well.

Obviously the first skim of the day, not a drop of mud on him. Show him 8 hours later 😂, Great technique just the same. I will try it on my next project.
