It doesn't seem useful for gaming or any other daily job, I think it's useful for servers and professional photographers.

If I ever get it'll casually put it in a gen 3 or 4 board so it writes to it slower and it technically lasting longer

The last great revolutiom in SSDs was Intel's Optane Specifically because it greatly increased random reads and writes which is the ONLY thing that really matters to a fast user experience....if you compare gen 3 NVMe drives vs gen 5, theres been no improvement in random reads and writes, so arguably, unless youre regulary transfering HUGE files, a gen 5 SSD is worthless

No this sssd is only fast for about 30 seconds and then bottleneck to the point of unusable. Stick to your gen 4 drives
