Haptic knob project!

Hey, guys, I have been experimenting with an awesome haptic knob project based off the work of scottbez1 on YouTube! Check him out, his smart knob is amazing!

Love seeing demos like this that are intended for practice. I think removing all the fancy designs and actual functionality makes the assembly and learning how it all works much easier. So I’m sure that pays off!

Hey everyone, thanks for the interest in this project! I am looking into releasing my code as well as parts list on Etsy incase you want to make your own! (The code probably wont be very polished but it is my own take on the project.)

Incase anyone is wondering, I have been working on lots of projects, upgrading a tiny cnc, and working on my version 3 ros robot. I am also learning welding! Maybe I will post some short videos about those, showcasing the different ideas to hopefully inspire yall!

This is similar to how DJI implemented their automated manual focus on the 4D, the focus knob is a brushless motor that can rubber band and spring back like this, as well as providing resistance while focusing. It's such a unique input method, fantastic work!
