The green connector design is called a "Phenix Connector" if anyone was curious.

Easy peasy for sure! Loving your content and highly recommend your channel, especially those video’s where you go into detail and explain your programming of these devices and highlight your design/display ideas. Thank you.

Hello my friend great source - I have optimized all today - now it is really a clock - I included RTC and NTP server functions.
Also I connect it to my Synology MQTT broker and provide sensor data via MQTT too.

Easy peasy indeed. Should be fun to experiment with.

I'm liking these *M5Dial* devices. I can see many projects with them

I just hope that they offer other colors for the ring and body.
Or at least, perhaps, a method and files for a person to 3D print their own so as to match whatever color a project might be.

Orange is nice, but may not be suitable for everyone.

Great video and helpful information. I tried the WatchESPI example (clock shown in video) and was disappointed to find that such a cool looking project was missing the last 1% of functionality and the displayed time was hardcoded to the display rather than updating to display the actual time... Though that did make me learn how to modify the code to make the 'clock' work as expected - maybe that's a subtle hint to learn for yourself lol?

Either way, thanks for the video and sharing your knowledge!

Wow, that's a successful combination. I hope it will be available again soon and that the price doesn't go up.

Btw, the input voltage range is up to 36V, not just 24V. That makes it even better.

Writing comments on YouTube is easy peasy. Thanks for sharing another cool toy.

This is yet another AMAZING video. I just wish that they were in stock so I don't have to wait. 🙂

You really make me think hard about the nature of UI. I have been hearing lately that car owners are getting sick of touch-screen displays and want the old-fashioned control knobs back as they are much easier to use. A device like this seems perfect for certain types of applications

This was so cool that i had to order a pice. Have no clue for purpose yet but that will come. Thank's for sharing!!

Any idea why your sketches would be showing up mirrored on the screen....?
The watch sketch is fine, but the piano and timers for some reason end up fully functional, but their display (though not touchscreen interaction zones) is mirrored.

If you want to cut a hole into plastic I find those drill attachments with circular sawtooth cutting edge do the job nicely, but use a piece of wood to mount it on as you drill, and cut it slowly on a drill stand. ABS plastic is a nice material to cut in this way.

Thank you for actually putting out good examples. There are too many so-called reviews that just unbox and show the factory app. On the other hand, UIflow is way underdevelopped as far as UI is concerned for M5Dial so there needs to be better material as to how to code a good UI for the Dial.

This thing looks nice, if a heading indicator/compass sketch is there I will pick one for my car.

Can you use it outdoor? Is it sun readable and splash proof at the front?

I love your "Watch" display, but the github entry has very little information as to how to load it via Arduino IDE, I was kind of expecting a sketch to copy, but there appears to be some dependencies too.

Brilliant demo. Thanks Mr Volos. Problem now is there are too many ESP32-Display units to choose from. I’m sticking with Makerfabs for now as its a bit bigger.
