An alternative ‘pot and cup’ combo cook system. Stanley mountain compact cookset vs. GSI bottle cup

Показать описание
This kitis similar and functionality to the Stanley mountain compact cook set with Stove but it is slightly smaller and more compact. The kit is made up of the GSI large bottle cup, The GSI infinity backpackers mug, And a Stanley compact cookset lid. One could easily add a folding Spork.

Question: Will the GSI Infinity Camping mug shown nest with the Stanley Adventure Cook Kit? I have an inexpensive all-metal "Ozark" mug from Walmart that nests outside of the Adventure Cook Kit. HOWEVER, the Ozark is hot on your lips when trying to drink hot coffee!

I have both the bottle saver and lean cup. Never even thought to stick one in the other. Thanks.

Survival Resources has a lid that will fit the Stanley Boil and Brew.

I own two of the STANLEY compact cook kits. While the smaller kit you put together is indeed smaller it is not large enough to boil a full pouch of water needed to rehydrate trail foods. The STANLEY Compact Cook set has that needed extra room and has boil or stir room to spare. That fact alone is an important edge for both backpack trekkers and hikers. I also own the STANLEY 24 oz 2 CUP cook set. I use a gsi mug with it, stores "OK" on the outside bottom of the STANLEY. It's not a perfect fit but gives some extra room for smaller storage items like flat can cozy Both STANLEY cook kits are going to have the needed volumes for water boils for rehydrating food pouches

This definitely looks like a very good option indeed my friend. And I had to unsubscribe from your channel and resubscribe so I could re-click the bell because I'm not getting notifications of your new videos. Thanks for sharing brother.

Thanks for the information. Question can the smaller Stanley set nest with the GSI infinity mug?

The only issue with stanely set up is that you do not have a SST lid and you typically can not use the plastic lid while boiling the water which reduces the efficiency of the boil.

I'm not a backpacker per say... I backpack 15 minutes from my car to the campsite...not only that I'm on my Coleman ct200u minibike.. so I carry the mountain cook set ..with the 2 bowl cookset ...minus the bowls lid and ladle ...I'm a big dude 270 6"1 ...I drink a lot of liquid and eat a man's size portion of food so these 2 together work best for me ...with butane torch burner and alcohol burner.

Hello. Any idea if the gsi infinity mug would stack underneath of the Stanley adventure cookset?

I'll bet others, like me, would like to know how that smaller Stanley Adventure Camp Cook set( the one with 2 green cups) nests with the Mountain set and with the large GSI mug. For example will the 24 oz Adventure kit nest fully into the tall mug? And if you remove the plastic mug from the Mountain set, how will the GSI and/or the Adventure set fit into the Mountain Stainless pot?
