hi, wondering if you know, can i charge my( jbl charge 5 speaker) battery and my phone and play music all at the same time continuously for say 8 hrs? thanks

So I just purchased this about a week ago and I bought it because out of all reviews it had the best rating. Now purpose was more for travel purposes and or beach portability without lugging around a 20 pound speaker. The clarity is great and the bass is decent for size. I too want more bass (who doesn't lol) but for size what would you suggest? You can't compare this to motion boom or the plus as they are just bigger speakers. The closest would be the jbl extreme 3 maybe, although then you have to talk about price. So size wise what would you choose over the jbl charge 5? Cuz I don't see anything better. Motion boom plus definitely fire bass heads, but may lack clarity. Just not something I would pack in my suitcase or back pack. Thanks for the review buddy! 😉

Gotta have space to make bass. That speaker is just too small to produce bass at any significant level. Instead of the Motion Boom, I'd suggest the Mifa Wildbox. It's slightly larger, but gets down to 50 Hz with the bass mode on and actually sounds pretty decent (better if you use a little EQ to bring down the top end a bit). None of these options however have the same build quality as the JBL Charge, but that's fine if you're likely to move on to using another BT speaker within three years...

I’m a total bass-head looking for something portable in this category so I was wondering if you also managed to test the charge 5 in stereo link mode? Double the bass drivers = double the bass?

This guy is expecting bass from a small speaker. You’re a basshead, you need a bigger speaker. Or get into car audio
