Ultimate Blind-fold Speaker Sound Test: JBL Charge 5 vs Soundcore motion plus vs Soundcore boom

In this video my wife has a blindfold on and listens for her favorite speaker.
It ended up being a very close competition, but the JBL charge 5 with its great bass and even better treble clarity came out on top.

2nd place went to the Soundcore Motion Boom. It's treble clarity was last place, but its Bass response was 1st place in our opinions. We both love bass so it came in 2nd place.

3rd place was the Soundcore motion plus. This speaker didnt really excel at anything, the bass was subpar and the treble was no better than the JBL, so it comes in last place.

What I have noticed about these little speakers is where you place them. If you put them in a small area up against something it greatly increases Bass.

The EQ is what makes these soundcore speakers stand their ground with other speakers. Though I would like to have it ready out of the box, they are worth due to their customization and price.

If you had taken time to Eq the Motion+, it would blow the jbl clean out of the water. That’s what the custom Eq is for after all !

The Motion Boom really needs custom EQ (available via its app) to get the best results from it. Ditto for the M+. The C5 does IMO provide the best "out of box" experience

With the motion boom, it's already lacking in treble because of lack of tweeters so the best mode is to disable base boost because it mutes the vocals and reduced it's clarity... Also set the equalizer to an inverted v shape .... And it will sound way better than the. JBL

I'm not sure why you hate motion plus, maybe you didn't use custome EQ but it's the loudest even compared to jbl xtreme 2 and although motion boom have much more bass but plus is more clear and have better highs than boom while enough bass, also bass at higher volume is more compared to charge 5 even at lower volume
Jbl has this peak at highs that make you think it's clear which you can do just that with EQ on Anker speakers

The Motion Plus and the Boom need tweaking with the equaliser or use your phone or DAP equaliser. I use my LG v30 equliser and the sound is way awesome than what I heard here.

go EQ custom setting for soundcore motion + copy alen Rose EQ for motion plus+ it will way better sound quality thn JBL charge 5 💯...I hve both JBL charge 5 and motion plus.... motion is winner every time❣️
