Remember when Italy was the hotspot and the US was learning what not to do by watching a them. Now look at us. So sad that we in the US can't go to museums because too many fools won't wear facemasks and social distance.

I think the scaling back of tourists is positive in the long run. I haven't visited many cultural sites due to the sheer volume of people. It's not an enjoyable experience. Also, it is a direct threat in some cases. Venice is a prime example of that. The ships are damaging the structures as are the mass volumes of people. It's loving something to death.
