Coronavirus outbreak: Italy slowly returns to life as lockdown restrictions lift

Nearly two months after being quarantined on Tuesday, Italians began the second day of a slow easing of regulations to bring life back to "normal."

Under the new rules, 4.5 million Italians go back to work, construction can resume and relatives can reunite. More importantly for some, cafes were allowed to reopen for takeaways. Bars and restaurants will not be able to fully open until May 18 with special social distancing enforced.

But even with takeaways, The Di Renzo bar in Rome, a usual tourist hotspot, is only making 10 percent of its usual sales, and until tourists return, bar owner Gabriele di Renzo warns: "our business is dead."

Protesters in Naples called for more government support for those without work, asking that all businesses re-open as soon as possible, shouting "Everyone or no one!"

I'm glad that they are getting back to normal. And recovering from the crisis.

Personally if I were in Italy, I would not be getting any food or drink when the pandemic is around. I do not want to eat nor drink anything outside until the coronavirus is almost zero.
