I visited Rome last year and watching this now is a breath of fresh air.

I have been to Italy twice. It holds my heart, it s beautiful. Rome is a wonder around every corner. On one visit I was one of the first in line to enter St Peter s, it was magnificent. I stood in front of that sculpture, took photos and didn t realize how lucky I was, as I left, i walked through the crowds and i saw the long line to get in, that was amazing too. Keep inspiring.

We were in Rome 2012 and 2015. We were astounded how much the crowds had increased! It was overwhelming! I imagine the locals are enjoying the breathing space.

When I went to Rome it was a 40 degrees heat wave ! We only went for 3 days but we managed to do so much. Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Coliseum, bus tours, catacombs, sistine chapel, a nice square where we got our portraits done and lovely food !! I know tourists can be annoying but we did our best to be polite and follow rules :)
