Hello and thank you for being here!
My name is Rachel and I am a high school math teacher in Georgia. Today I am starting my FLIPPED CLASSROOM SERIES! You’ve asked for it, and so I am trying to deliver! I’m not sure how many videos I will make on this series, but to start, I will walk you guys through how to begin designing your flipped classroom! This video is all about SET UP! And addressing all the things you need to have figured out before you begin your flipped classroom journey! Thank you for taking the time to watch and I hope you are able to use some ideas for your own classroom inspiration! Stay tuned for more information on flipped classrooms! 😊

Really appreciate your breaking all of this down. As a first year teacher I struggled with time. How were you able to keep the recap time so short a lot of my students felt rushed or frustrated when we had to move on or move forward in a topic if they weren't getting the previous stuff?

It great that you discuss Canvas. We use Canvas in my district but most YT content is geared towards Google Classroom. Looking forwards to more of your videos, I'm a fan!

First of all thanks for the series, it’s really inspiring to see you working with so much energy and dedication…this is my first year teaching high school math( taught middle school for last 15 years)
could you please share a sample video of your video lesson that you share with kids as notes for them to watch the night before…just wanted to get an idea how exactly you do it…Thanks!

I love how you use technology in your classroom! Our district uses Canvas as well, but I love how you created your landing page for each week. Do you mind doing a video on how you set up your page with the tabs?

Great explanation! I teach 8th grade English and want to flip my classroom, but I feel like the lack of technology might hinder some of it. Hoping we truly become one to one this year.

How often do you post video notes? Does it depend on your curriculum?

This sounds cool can you define a flipped classroom? Thanks (I’m not a teacher, I’m a nanny) and I’m interested. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for this useful video! Would it be okay to ask what your last name is, Rachel? I'd like to reference this video's information properly at an academic paper, please.

What grade level do you primarily teach? I have a lot of unmotivated seniors in my courses (specifically my 'consumer' math), so I am scared if I try this no one will do the home based work/ watch the videos. It is something I would love to integrate.
