Solo Wild Camping in Scotland | Backpacking In The Eastern Mamore Mountains.

Backpacking and solo wild camping trip into the Eastern Mamore mountains of Scotland.

Decided to try and get to the top of as many of the Eastern Mamore summits as I could in one day. Also managed to do some mountain photography whilst having a night out wild camping.

However the weather in Scotland was stunning with a surreal blue sky made up for all the sweat and pain as you will see in the footage, but has made for a very memorable trip.

Did manage to get to the summit of five Munro’s, not four as shown in my film. The fifth was Sgurr Eilde More and decided to do it in the morning as I was leaving for home.

Traversed the route in reverse to most by starting with Stob Coire a’Chairn and finishing at Sgurr Eilde Mor so I could camp and spend the night at the Coire an Lochain.

In total I managed to complete five Munro's from my list..

Stob Coire a'Chairn, 981m
An Gearanach, 982m
Na Grugaichean, 1056m
Binnein Mor, 1130m
Sgurr Eilde Mor, 1010m

Great video and effort.  Well done mate.  The walk and your travel video was inspiring.  As was the drone footage towards the end, just shows everyone what lies on our door step in Scotland.  Not been out in a while but defo inspired me to get back out there. Cheers Fella.

Thanks for lugging all your kit up these magnificent hills, Ray. I like the drone footage very much because it reminded me of the day I took a helicopter ride from the Snow Goose on Aonach Mor over the Ben and Mamores to Ballachulish.

You did say on your last video to keep an eye out for this The footage at c.18 minutes in where the drone starts to lift is simply breathtaking. I'll share this with the walking group I started at work - of this doesn't inspire them to hit a Munro then not much will.

Just a suggestion given you mention the additional weight of the drone to do the three Munros next time ;-)

Great effort Ray.

What a trip Ray, cracking shots and a tough day but conditions and the scenery were stunning. That drone really does add to the quality, one day I'll get to some professional filming like you..hahah. Cheers Andy

Great video as always. The drone footage was beautiful. Just shame about having the extra weight of it to carry. ATB Gareth&Zoe

Really great photography -- the views you got were just stunning. Thanks for all the added information in the description. I'll be interested to see what you decide to do with your drone . . .

Your videos are some of the very few of real quality. Thank you very much for these wonderful videos. I've been thinking of walking from Corrour Station to Fort William through this route, and you have spurred me on to find the time and get on with it. As for the drone: it's fine, but IMO don't bother. Your work is good because of the obvious care you put into the shots, the dialogue, and the editing; real quality, and I'm sure you are inspiring many to walk in the beauty of Scotland. The drone adds very little, it's not bad, but it's the planning and care that give your work its value. Also, everybody is doing drones now, so it will soon look tacky. Besides, 5kg! That's several days food! Go longer and lighter. All the best, and congratulations.
