Genelec visits the home studio of Record Producer & Mix Engineer Tim Palmer to discuss his history with Genelec, building his workspace, and what it takes to become a good producer.

Tim Palmer has produced and mixed albums for a huge roster of artists, from Robert Plant, David Bowie and Tears For Fears to Ozzy Osbourne, Pearl Jam, Goo Goo Dolls and U2. He began his career at Utopia Studios in London during the early 80’s, and he is now based in Austin, Texas, where his home studio facility is located.

Tim’s setup includes the Genelec 8341A Smart Active Monitors, which serve as his go-to nearfield reference monitors, alongside his legacy Genelec 1031A Active Monitors (which he has used for 29 years) and subwoofer.

What a lovely episode and what a GREAT guy & audio professional Tim is!
But please so actually show more of these "caves", and tell more about them - the acoustics, the instruments, the gear choices and the thinking behind all that, too.
