He missed out 2 important factors.. You need to let the clutch out slowly if your not going to rev match especially if your goin down more than 1 gear.. It is best to go down 1 gear at a time unless you don't have enough time, if you have to downshift abruptly, release the clutch only after you've managed to significantly slow the bike down & make sure to slowly release the clutch to allow the engine to catch up with the drivetrain .. if you go down too many gears at too high of a speed you will lock up your back wheel and turn your bike into a snowboard. If you downshift from 6 to 2 doing 120km or if you shift into 1st doing more than say 25km and dump the clutch, either you the bike or the engine is not making it to the next light. Take your time and if you're ever unsure about the next step, The clutch is your best friend, pull that in and recalculate your next move and take as much time as u need. don't be in a rush to let it out. A non-crashed bike & unscathed body is 1000% cooler than shifting quick..

If you’re moving with a good amount of speed in a Taller gear and try to downshift to a significant shorter gear (example: 95 in 4th downshift to 2nd) their is a high possibility that the bike becomes too unstable and you loose traction to the rear tire with the results being a high velocity low slide or a impact high side
