Emmy is a dhampir endorsed by her father to kill anyone who he finds despicable and iniquitous---In other words, those who ardently follow the Raven Queen, a deity of death whom he adamantly hates.

Having adopted her father's hatred, Emmy perceives those who follow in Death's footsteps as another rabbit to maim, however when she's confronted with a virtuous mercenary and her first real friend, she finds herself conflicted. Despite their contrary characters, she's almost hard-pressed on staying by his side.

But that won't stop her from uprooting whatever signs of death she finds along the way...
